There was a fella came to the local summer picnic in Nebraska that had an old helicopter on a trailer. His wife collected the money for $20 a ride and he flew. She told me he was a chopper pilot in Nam and he loved it. He wanted to keep flying and this is how he could afford it. He was very good at goin up and comin down. Just like he was back there again.

Gary, I wish there were opportunities in every state for all vets and anyone loving them to be able to have a ride in one. Someday I will , too.

When I worked offshore in the oil field most of the pilots were Vietnam Vets.

SGT Reckless, the war horse. Through bombings, bullets, wounded several times, she never failed bringing ammo and supplies to the soldiers, even by herself, no one leading her. She retired in good life with her fellow military men caring for her well.
