States and Saudis signed an agreement to sell oil in USD in exchange for protection by the US military. They are likely moving to make a new agreement with China for protection after dopey Trump threatened to reneg on the agreement and also surrendered to the Taliban hanging the Afghan partners out to dry. That and Trumps efforts to weaken the Nato alliance left the USA being seen as unreliable partners on the World stage. Good thing you Americans got rid of him just in time. Biden has done a fantastic job re inforcing the Nato alliance and repairing the damage done by the ham handed trump.Biden has been getting them to increase their defense spending and show solidarity in the face of communist agression.Quite the opposite of Trumps arse kissing of Putin and Kim. Wow I am Glad u live in canada !!! Here here!

Aramco was American and Saudi. Not sure if Aramco was nationalized later by SA,most likely. Saudi Aramco is a public company. Ticker is SAU on the Saudi exchange

[quote=Dirty D]For a currency to be the "world" currency it has to be accepted pretty much everywhere. China is a long way from that. It also has to have the backing of a stable and reliable state that has a rule of law. Something we have been slipping on but china is a long way from right now.
Go around the world with a hand full of Yuan and Benjamin's and see which one is accepted more often than not.[/quoA If China were to become the defacto world currency for trade they would back it by gold.

Ticker is SAU on the Saudi exchange Only a small percentage was put up for investors.5% It said on google. Only enough to pay for some overhead/operational expenses and apparently Salman wanted a new lavish palace.

Those investing in Crypto currency are investing in the crash of the US dollar. /quote]
I disagree. I believe that they/ we are investing in crypto, and monetary metals for that matter, to protect ourselves from the dangers of fiat currency and central bank oligarchy. It's an evil and devious system.
I can agree with that but the end goal is the same, to replace the dollar and all other currency in the world for that matter.
