The blades seem a lot narrower than the pictures I see . Patches are few and far between around here

They look different than Cathryn's ramps.

The smell should give them away.

Those look like wild onions. I dig what are called leeks around here and a friend told me they are called ramps in many places. Leeks/ramps have wide leaves than your pic.

These are not hollow stems like onions . The blades are narrower than most pictures . I grew up calling these wild garlic . About the only time we ate them was with cow greens

What are these? I call them chives. Look like small onions . Grow wild and die off early. Dont get much bigger

Yes those are ramps. Our ramps locally have wide leaf blade stems, not hollow stems.

Do you normally eat them with something, or by themselves? How are they usually prepared?

I eat those chives like onions. Soup stew fried taters, just wash them and chop the whole thing up bulb and all. The tiny roots come off when you wash them.

Same on baked potatoes , and mixed in dips .
The purple blossoms are good in salads , as are the rest of the plant .

Those don't look like the ramps we have here, but I guess there is a narrow leaf version. Around here they are the broad leaf variety

No. Those are not ramps.

There is not a wide and narrow leafed variety. It is buck wheat plantain that has a wide and narrow variety.

There is a white and red variety of ramps but your picture is neither.

We've literally sold 1000s and 1000s of them and that ain't them.

They look like some kind of daffodils or something.and daffodils are poisonous

Whatever they are they Arent ramps.

Don't eat em till you identify them and whatever you do don't sell them you might kill someone.
