Very inclement weather hereabouts yesterday. Temperatures up to above 60F. Drove downriver about 100 miles, after first stopping at bank and getting loan for gas money. Still some icebergs along the banks of the Salmon River. No snakes out yet. Did see a few hundred elk, a handful of muleys, and a couple bands of young ram bighorns. Very pleasant drive.

Yes, Outlaw, pretty amazing and rough country. This is the mouth of the Middle Fork where it joins the Main Salmon.

Sheep are like cats, always live in such Beautiful places.

Miss seeing the sheep,lived in Montana for 9 year's you could see them everyday along 191.Thank's for sharing.

My flatlander legs hurt looking at those pictures and- my trigger finger twitches looking at Tray's snow geese.

The ram in the last picture looks to be maybe 8 YO? Or maybe there are false annuli.

That time of year Jack, fun to see the rivers waking back up. Ran the family up to check out the falls this afternoon. Pics don't do it justice but in the middle pic of the falls, those boulders are sticking up at least 20 feet out of the water. Fires from 2015 sure made a mess of the valley too. Sad to see all the cedars gone.

Nice shots, everyone….Jack, sure like seeing the sheep over here too. Looks like yours are in that patchy phase, loosing their winter wool …makes me want to get the curry comb out ! The last pic looks like it, anyway.

That's one nice guard station also there's one similar to it not to far from here I've got a soft spot for older log home's and buildings .
