If a beaver in 330 in path of other beaver an bite up, is it possible other beaver are spook from spot where dead beaver was at in trap which now reset ? If so, how long? Permantely?

The real answer is, reset that trap and find out. I’ve seen it both ways but if it’s a channel, there will be another through there eventually. The only wrong answer to this is to not have a trap present when a beaver swims through.

Many beaver figure out what a #330 will do to them and won't enter one once they see a dead one in one. Many will, however. It's usually the old female that figures things out the fastest and most permanently.

The amount of beaver that won't get near a #330 (in high traffic trapping areas) would astonish most trappers who only use #330s. Same with Castor sets (to a lesser degree).

I never shy away from areas where guys only use #330s and/ or Castor. The big ones are still there.

That said, I don't think I've ever seen a pic on here of a properly brushed-in #330, either.

It was bit on tail an hind foot an side , bad , not sure if from in trap or before , 45-50 plus lbs, maybe more

I agree 1000% about the 330s! Our beaver here already know what they are before you set them. I catch the majority of my beaver in snares.
