This Post demonstrates that coyotes are adaptive to a wide variety of terrain, topography, land use, food and weather conditions. So (you've heard me say this before), Biology 101 - Habitat is FOOD, COVER, and WATER ,,, and the proximity or distance from the availability of each .......... Without saying it in his video, Odon Corr's best locations were w/i a short distance to water (in semi-arid SD). Midwestern videos (by the dozens) settle on the areas and locations that intermix the COVER with a chance for FOOD --- the "edge" location. And the deep mature timber videos always focus on the FOOD source for coyote homes and locations. Coyote "packs" are sometimes common and sometime uncommon based on the Quality of that HABITAT, so a 'territory" (the original post question) of an individual or mated pair is based on how close the groceries, the water and the recliner are to each other - along with their tolerance for neighbors who might share in those items. And for me to estimate that,,,, it takes a lot of looking, listening and evaluating the HABITAT (I'm probably a little slower than most of you). My take on it. ...................... the mike
