Read this about NYS:

":Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the first-in-the-nation Seeding Opportunity Initiative, which will position individuals with prior cannabis-related criminal offenses to make the first adult-use cannabis sales with products grown by New York farmers. This farm-to-store initiative makes sales in New York possible before the end of 2022, jumpstarts New York’s Cannabis Industry, guarantees support for future equity applicants, and secures an early investment into communities most impacted by the disproportionate enforcement of cannabis prohibition. "

So, tell me if I have this right ... confused

A former drug dealer, or someone convicted of buying or using drugs; now gets to go to the front of the line and have first chance of opening a Pot Shop in NYS? But, on the other hand, someone with a CLEAN RECORD , never been in trouble with the law at all; has to wait their turn to get a Cannabis License to open up a store ??? crazy

Reparations for past wrongs(communities most impacted by disproportionate enforcement).

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

If you want to be on the ground floor of opening a pot shop in NYC when they allow it.... let's be realistic, if you don't have a record it's because you never got caught.

in short they are looking to recruit experienced drug dealers for their state legalized , state profiting , drug dealing enterprise.
Suppose they figure they already know the product , the distribution and have a customer base to maximize profits early.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Make sense to me. They should get an apology and reparations for time served too.

I read about this in the past.......I believe minorities are at the front of the line as well. Whites are the minority in NYC I'm sure but that's not what they're talking about.

Crime does pay in NY state! You forgot the 220 million "free money" for the startup costs and you know, pay your family, friends etc.
