Been watching some fur handling videos on YouTube for bobcats and found it interesting to see bobcats stretched fur side out on the adjustable bobcat stretchers to dry when still green.Have never seen or heard of this.

It works best in a dry climate after a generous application of borax. Tracy's bobcat handling thread in the archives here will cover it very well.

I'm betting we could skip the hide out part here in Wyoming, Laramie area. It literally tales about an hour to get our bobcats tacky for the turn, I use talcum powder not borax when I turn them.
Armpits would be my main concern though if not turning the hides.

I never turn my cats. I’ve had some of the bigger buyers in the country tell me my cats are put up perfectly.
It’s definitely a dry climate here.

Yep playing with fire! I have done it both ways and will continue to go hide out and turn when ready. Usually 2 or 3 hours works every time! No worries! I did not like the arm pits taking 8 days to dry even with Borax and a fan.

A lot of guys have went to that. And you will know every one who does, because they will all make sure and tell how long it has been since they turned a bobcat. Personally I turn mine. Most of the guys spend more time and effort trying to make sure the hide is drier (some tumble them before putting on the stretcher) and/or using borax or talcum powder to try and help them dry and not stick to the boards, than it takes me to turn them. If you are going to do the "Nevada stretch", lots of them do without turning, but I don't trust those arms folded up without being dried hide out first.
