They taste just like crawdads. I like to seine up a five gallon bucket full. Pop the meat out of the tail. Get a salad bowl full out of a five gallon bucket. Then fry them in butter. Most people cook them in crab boil. You can buy it at any grocery. They are done when they turn red. It doesnt take long. Pull them in half and eat the tail meat then suck the inside out of the head. Good cooked like that too

I've never ate them but was considering trying them. So you can remove the tail meat from them when they're still raw?

I won't buy any mudbugs, (or anything else that I can avoid) from SE Asia as I've seen how they farm them. Gooks use the rice paddy's that they fertilize with human waste and the C-dads eat it, so no telling what kind of disease might be in them.

The Chinese crayfish have some preservative in them that makes them virtually inedible. I bought some crayfish tails at Walmart that were called Boudrheaux's Crawfish Tail Meat, I incorrectly believed they were from Louisiana. I later found the fine print on the back said that they were from China. They left a terrible metallic taste in my mouth and coated my tongue and mouth. I've bought Chinese and Vietnamese shrimp from Walmart that used the same foul preservative. Keith
