In reality Jesus wasn't a fictional character as fairies, santa, or gods.
A Jewish historian by the name of Josephus was born in Jerusalem, 4 years after the crucifixion of Jesus. Josephus is the most comprehensive primary source on Jewish history that has survived from antiquity. His writings often provide additional evidence on such personalities as Herod the Great and his dynasty, John the Baptist, Jesus' half brother James, the high priests Annas and Caiaphas and their clan, Pontius Pilate and others. So, we should certainly expect that he would refer to Jesus of Nazareth, and he does, twice.
Antiquities 18:63. "At this time there was a wise man called Jesus, and his conduct was good, and he was known to be virtuous. Many people among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. But those who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive."
Antiquities 20:200. Tells of the death of Jesus' half brother, James the Just of Jerusalem, under the high priest Ananus son of the former high priest Annas and brother in law to Caiaphas. "Convening the judges of the Sanhedrin, he brought before them the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ, whose name was James, and certain others. He accused them of having transgressed the law and delivered them up to be stoned."
Josephus' description from the vantage point of a non-Christian seems remarkedly fair, especially in view of his well know proclivity to roast false messiahs as wretches who misled the people and brought on war with the Romans.

Te get back to the original post. For some folks, the belief in god is all they have so one should not take that away from them. For me personally its a mute point as god does not exist so you cant get rid of something that is not there in the first place. For me it's more then that.If I'm wrong we both simply rot in the ground. But what if you are wrong?I have nothing to lose.

Worth the watch for any layman or deep Science mind to evaluate and one of the reasons that some atheists within Science now attribute life to spacemen from the past who created life on earth & then died off when in open debates such as Richard Dawkins claimed to Oxford Fellow of Mathematics & Physics, John Lennox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU7Lww-sBPgI'm a big fan of John Lennox. You probably already have a copy of God's Undertaker, but if not, I'd be doing you a disservice if I didn't recommend it. He has a brilliant mind. Yes he is a man of Mathematical & Physics Sciences who sees the planet as an intelligent design. It is also worth the effort to watch the link I provided & to understand the Math & Chemistry of Life that James Tour spoke of. Amino acids need life to be created & yet life can not be created without amino acids & the vast array of perfect conditions that nature alone could never have achieved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU7Lww-sBPg

Pretty shallow to say He did not exist when in truth time is divided into Before Christ & After His Death. Just a bit of Pragmatic reality into how important He was 2000 years ago. That's true. Also, why is it that only the name of Jesus is used in vain, but never Buddha, Confucius, Mohammed, or any of the others?

1 Peter 3:15.
It is what makes me considerate to people who don't believe because it is how GOD commands us.
If a person wants to believe, it is their choice. Make your life a living testament so people will know your joy. This does not mean walking around in a cloak and humming chant and living in a monastery.
Be human. It is ok to get mad as a Christian. It happens. It is also ok to argue. Just mind your words to those who will listen. Do not throw pearls to swine.
Not calling you swine Scuba. LOL!!
Salvation is free. It is a choice. Choose or don't. It is up to the individual.
Scuba, you know a can with rocks in it rattles the loudest. Ignore the rattling cans as I know you would prefer we ignore idiot atheists.
How are your taters doing?
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

i think its a sure thing that sidhartha/budha and jesus both really lived.

i think its a sure thing that sidhartha/budha and jesus both really lived. Only one rose from being dead for three days and all but one of the disciples (John) who saw him, ate with him, and saw Jesus embodied as the first fruits of the resurrection themselves experienced gruesome deaths rather than recant or renounce. We thank those who laid the bricks of the faithful path we're on today, who after being with the Risen Lord, stood in truth until their end here on earth. Horrific means were used by the pagans to get them to recant but they would not claim to unsee what they testified they saw. Blessings, Mark
