Anyone use unistrut to hang stretcher boards or wire? I’ve been looking at pictures. Trying to decide what I need to order. Any thoughts, pics, or ideas?

I have a bunch of boards on the 3" or 4" conduit hangers (but I think the size of the hanger may not matter much), the strut channel that you mount to the ceiling needs to be deep, so that you can remove individual stretchers from the middle of the channel without removing all of them. PM me and I can text you pictures.

I use Uni-Strut on all wood forms, you can buy the EMT hanger straps and mount one per form. I only put rats on wire and just use cup hooks for those.

I use the shallow struts and do not have any issue removing a board from any location on the strut. Just have to have enough room to turn it 90 degrees.

I buy the cheapest hanger straps I can find (like the ones in Eagleye's post), hammer them flat and mount one per board. The boards stay on the struts whether they are in use or not.

I wonder if the teeth on my hangers are too long for the shallow strut channel? Somehow I ended up with 2 different sizes of strut channel, the deep one works well, but I have trouble with the shallow one... I was going to hammer the hangers flat, but I never got around to it, not I thinks it looks kind of cool having all the boards hanging a little bit at an angle.

Best to get the components at the same place.
There is 1-1/2" Kindorf struts, and 1-5/8" Unistrut.
I have both and parts sometimes do not interchange very well. Especially if you want a good sliding fit as with the hangars for boards.

Shorten them up with a hack saw to give more room to go up and turn to come out.

I would guess he’s using fender washers, a nice small inner hole so his cable ferrule doesn’t slide through.
