Just completed the 2nd Beaver Hoop for our banquet this weekend. Not sure which one I like the best ? Opinions... Just about finished with a knapped knife and display case as well.

1st Beaver with a more rounded hoop with feather accents.

2nd Beaver with a tear drop hoop shape with Ermine weasels as accents.

They both look fine regarding the ermine or fake golden eagle feathers, but the beaver tails do not do it for me...Just my opinion...

I actually love them with the beaver tails. They're both really nice. I like the lower hoop a little better but maybe the feathers over the ermine.

Either hoop would be a wall centerpiece to make anybody proud. Good job!

Finished knife and case, display case is almost complete. It is what I call a beaver pelter knife. It cuts much better than I thought it would.

If I had to choose I would take the second one, with the tail removed.

Looks great! You can use body putty on the tails and eliminate the shrikage.

Finished my display case for the beaver Pelter knife. Just need to find a hasp to put on it. Headed to Lowe's to see what they have to offer. Tomorrow is our banquet, I hope the folks like it so it will help our fund raiser.

I like them both Lee. It was a good experience to build them and very enjoyable to fashion each one a bit differently. That knife took some work.
