Without cutting one open yet, that's what they look like. 1 3/4 inch long, 1075 velocity 15/16 oz. shot. Roll crimp with clear plastic disc over shot. Cannot be much if any shot cup.

Foxpaw, the only short shells I ever fooled with were 12 gauge home rolled black powder loads for those old damascus guns. Most have a 2 1/2 inch chamber. It dont seem like hull type is real critical. I have a good pile of winchester primers so I use them. Just cut the shell off right under the line the crimp makes. Load in 70 grains of 2 or 3 f black powder. The substitute powder, pyrodex, triple7 or what ever you have produce a little more pressure. Might drop down to 60-65 grains. (by volume not weight) Put an over powder card in. Cut the the bottom off a 1 1/8 ounce type wad so only the shot cup is left. I use WAA12. Put the shot cup down tight on the over powder card. Put in a 1 1/8 ounce load of shot. Put another card on top the shot and run a ring of elmers wood glue around the card at the edge up against the hull. Let it dry.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I bought a bunch the Aguilla ones in 7.5 shot a long time ago. I actually killed a turkey with one out of a single shot because it's what I had. Some pump Acton shotguns will cycle them reliably and some won't. If you want to try them for defensive purposes there is a rubber spacer sold that takes up space in the loading port for mossbergs that help with cycling.

Personally they don't serve a purpose for me. Any positive that they appear to have is out weighed by the negatives.
