Never seen a Ford I wanted

My fav is prolly the 70 Chevelle , then there are some awesome Pontiacs out there . I had a poor man's GTO ( LeMans ) like the blue GTO in this pic . Same blue , white stripe , white vinyl top

Growing up in Flint Michigan, I had a string of Buick Skylarks and Gran Sports! Did so much street racing! Wasted many a valuable Muscle car before they were valuable. Our nighttime/weekend cruisers were Big Long Heavy "Deuce and a quarter" Buicks with the 455 engine! Could hit mailboxes all night long, and never bust a headlight! The Buick 455, Olds 455, Cadilac 502, Cadilac 472, And Pontiac 455, were the junkyard street racers "Big Block" engine. Chevy Big blocks were getting expensive for 20 something boys then. I had a striped down half ton Chevy pickup with a Uni bell 400 turbo trans, welded spiders, 411 gears. Any GM big block bolted to trans, tack weld motor mounts add torque choker chains on the front of the engine and go racing on Saturday night! I could get GM big blocks for $100 to $200 all day in Flints Junkyard row, Dort Highway had several miles of junkyards, side by side.

The orange one produces right at 2000hp. We tune it down to around 1500 for street driving. Both get driven on the street regularly. Fun times!

This had one of those 125.00 Big Block Chevy motors (454) with a TH 400 behind it..Junk Yard yah know. Back in 1978 …when I was just 22. Had 4:56 posi 12 bolt….best ET was 12.69 @ 108.88. Drive it to the track…and drive it home. Had a blast with this wagon.

The good old days. Cars today don't have the same class or appeal.

I really like most of them from the 60's. Chevelles, GTO's, 442"s, Mustangs ,Mopars, to name a few.

Here are a couple I used to own and one Mustang that I currently own.

1967 Camaro RS, belongs to my wife. We picked it up in 2011, it was a 10sec car, with a 468 in it. Over the last couple years, my BIL has been working on it to put it back street legal. Now has a 327.
The orange muscle is my BIL's 1970 Chevelle.
