I hope the Bluebirds arrive soon

And that the bird flue didn't get them.

I live in south central PA . Most winters my bluebirds overwinter here. I have several boxes in my small yard and have had a least one nesting pair every year for the 34 years I lived here .Some years I had as many as 12 fledglings hatch and leave the nesting box I love having them around

Borescope picture quality is not the best though. But they are blue bird eggs.

My first nesting fledged on 6 Mar 22. First egg of second nesting was laid on 30 Apr 22. Checked today, there are five eggs in nest. I also had a mockingbird nest in the hedge in front of my house. When the young were about feathered they disappered. I suspect an opossum got them because I caught a female opossum with about ten young hanging on to her in a cage trap in my back yard the next morning.

A pair of bluebirds laid 3 eggs in my back yard box, then left. I think the grackles and cats ran them off.

Have not seen a bluebird here yet. A few grosbeaks arrived last week and saw the first indigo bunting today.
No orioles yet either.

Saw my first Scarlet Tananger today and we have a couple of pairs of red breasted grosbeaks around the feeder.

We've got five boxes that should fledge next week, and one of those boxes is on the second litter.

We have plenty of them here. We have one that fights with himself in the sideview mirrors of our vehicles. We turn the mirrors in but he still does it. Scratches and craps on everything. Beautiful birds but that one is going to come to an unfortunate demise shortly.

None yet.
Got a HUGE influx of red bellied wood peckers though.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.
