Grandson likes to use a tripping technique he calls el goppo. No clue how to spell it but maybe you understand?

Pink eye? I think antiplasmoses. Grandson likes to use a tripping technique he calls el goppo. No clue how to spell it but maybe you understand? Spelled close enough I know what u mean. I use it once in awhile. Majority of the time I neck rope them, get them dailied off real short then grap a second rope and heel them myself. Then turn lose of head and pull them down with the heel rope. Took a little to master the technique but it works pretty slick on a one man crew.

Good horse. No bit in his mouth, nice work Thanks. He does know his job I think I could Dr one with nothing on his head but I'm just not brave enough. I can ride all day just using my feet, stop backup, spin, roll back and change leads. He'll cut and hold a cow with the lead rope tied to saddle horn.

That is impressive, how is he bred? Bred to be a barrel horse. Grandson of Frenchmans Guy on top and double bred Jet Deck on bottom.

Ironically, I had a saddle mare out of Jet Paul or Jet Smooth that was every bit as cowey as anybody's Hancock stuff and a lot easier to git along with. I planned to hate her when the ex-wife came home with her but she was so daggum useful she won me over and I took her everywhere.
To read the description of your self-evolved technique I am glad you have one like that. A lesser mount might leave you underneath all that mess.

Was he crazy athletic and would he pin his ears back the minute a cow critter tried to look past him?

He was really athletic and would watch a cow but was really watchy. I bought him as a started 3 year old and never could completely take it out of him. Built the way you wanted a head built and he was starting to become a good one.

I've found fast horses cost less than fast women and don't have eternal consequences. So that's my preference nowadays.
