Yes, the only issue would be you don't know when they would hatch so wouldn't know when to stop turning them and up the humidity. If it were me, I would hand turn them and run about 55%-60% humidity until you see pips, then up the humidity a bit

The nest is in a honeysuckle vine. Nothings setting on it as of yet. 4 eggs then nothing for 3 days. I think the cat got the mama.
She hadn't started Incubating them yet. So I figure about 10 days till hatching? Stop turning at 7 or 8?
I might just let em alone.
It'd be hard to feed 4 babies I'd bet

Just heart break waiting to happen in many cases so much needs to be just right the feed, temp, humidity and timing need to be spot on.

How would one feed baby birds? Figure what they eat and how they eat it and mimic that as much as you can.

Ain't chickens born with the pick 'n peck feeding instinct? How are you gonna catch enough bugs/worms to feed them every15 minutes?

You can buy bloodworms from a pet store to feed them. As was said though it's a hassle.

I've raised baby birds before. A crow and a Robin and some other fluff.
I just dug lots of fishing worms for the Robin and fed yhe crow bread dipped in milk.
They were. Free but chose to stay around and would actually land on me when I was outside

I'm not sure the kind. Maybe a finch? It's small. Eggs are blue with brown speckled about thumbnail size.

I know it's illegal. I told Jerry it wasn't worth it?

Is it possible to harch regular bird eggs in a chicken egg incubator? To answer the question ..yes not only possible but easy. I hatch quail eggs (not much bigger)the same incubator as my chicken eggs using the same cups made for chicken eggs. Of course having the automatic turner takes the work out of it, just turn it on and let it go.
