I usually tell them I'm glad they called, because I would like to tell them about Jesus. So far, no one has wanted to listen.

My girlfriend has been harassed by telemarketers for the last year. They say they are from Medicare, but clearly from India. They sent her braces for her back, wrist and ankle and billed Medicare. They paid it for some reason. Yesterday she got a call from her doctor about tests scheduled for a glucose monitor and a nerve test for her foot. The telemarketers scheduled these tests with her doctor. How can that happen? I can't imagine a doctor doing tests based on a phone call. They call up to 20 times a day and always from a different number. The number can't be blocked that way. I told her she needs to change her number.

I hang up on any recording. I hang up on all the insurance calls I get too. Policemans fund, cancer research, blood drives all of them. In fact if I do donate to somebody and they call begging for more they get none after.

When I was a kid it was door to door salesmen. Vacuum cleaners, encyclopedias and bibles were real common. some of them would not take no for an answer and deserved the rude behavior they got.

This phone scam thing is just crazy. Several times a week. Sometimes multiple calls a day. The salesmen were only a handful of times a year.

Im with you Danny..if i answer and i hear a recording start or a pitch ,I immediately hang up and block.

I like to let them go on with their pitch and then order a large pizza to be delivered.

The best call that I got showed MY phone # in the caller ID.

My grandmother used to mess with them. Usually they ask how you are. She would say: Oh I'm so glad you asked. Actually, I'm not doing so well today. I'm sick to my stomach, and have diarrhea real bad. I didn't know if I was going to make it to the bathroom in time the last time, so if I have to leave in a hurry that's why. But, I live alone and I'm so glad you called because it's nice having someone to talk to... and on and on until they hung up, lol.
