Prices down about 40% in the last two weeks locally.

I built this over the weekend. Pressure treated ground contact lumber. Materials were 1850. Dont feel like it’s coming down to me

I can tell you that what we've been quoted for saw timber isn't worth cutting. Poles are in demand though. Glad almost all of our pine is 20+ years.

Plywood prices are still very high around here, Treated and framing lumber down about 40% as I said above.

18 months ago brought LP siding for a cabin, paid just under $35.00 per 4x10 sheet, just checked on prices today for another cabin $98.00 for the same size sheet. (same product, same lumber yard) Think I'll wait for awhile before residing,

Lumber is still high here. I needed some Portland cement type l / ll. Couldn’t find it local. Had to drive over a hour to just get 15 sacks, when I need a pallet. You don’t ask price, when you need it!!

PS that middle 5x5 square is level. Somehow in the picture it doesn’t look like it

It's not just lumber, it's demand for everything that's not essential that's down. I work at Lowes, and my store's sales are down over 40% from this time last year.

All that free government money has now been spent.

People are putting things off right now , hoping prices will come down .
Some said they're paying more for gas and insurance more than one insurance, like health and auto . Than they're making extra over just household costs .
Here stores and banks are closing because people can't afford gas , so they took jobs for less or the same pay closer to home .
Also I don't understand why no one wants to work , there's jobs everywhere , and paying well over $ 14.00 an hour .
Stopped at a DG and the prices doubled on many items .
And they're closed many times for lack of help .
Same with fast food places .

We are waiting to build a house until materials bottom out.

Or will wait until the coming depression drives land and home prices so low that we will buy what we want.

All lumber is still too high for building a large amount.

Friends had a house build quoted last fall and by this spring the price had been raised 200k.
