I plan to keep at it as usual. Hit it hard for 3 weeks then take a break. Several years ago I got back into water trapping and a fascination came over me on mink trapping. Plan to keep at it as long as my body holds out.
I'm giving a mink demo at the national convention this year. If you happen to be there shout it out.

My two loves are Mink & Fisher, I'll still Mink trap, just a shorter line. Fisher, I wish NY would open the season later, December& January would be great.

I've got my ADC rat lines that I will work this fall. I'll wait till the snow flies and then I'll CR some coyotes but I may not skin any of them.
I'm going to spend more time In the deer blind and do more Ice fishing.

Well think some will be out trapping, but can't see alot of trapping going on. All ways takes a few years to get out that prices are way down. But thinking theift should slow down.
Just having the western a couple weeks ago, still have the regular die hards Buying there normal supplies.
We will be out trapping , A.D.C. work still pays well. But we will run our regular trap line.
Let me sugar coat this

I will likely only trap nuisance animals by request. Might do a few mink blind sets. I really get a kick out of blind setting for mink.
I might try getting my first otter or badger. Maybe a trip north for marten or Fisher, been wanting to do that forever.

It is only advice. I know people would ( now will ) trap if fur was worthless. Since harvest levels on most species are at or near record lows, my guess most trappers are like me. They have standards.
