Will current fuel prices affect your fall hunting or trapping?

I canceled my trip yearly trip to the u.p. to hunt snow shoes. I also know of a few guys that are skipping their south dakota trips.

Nope. I didn’t retire so I could sit at home. Whatever gas costs, I’ll buy it.

Hard to say, gas prices can fluctuate a lot in 4 months.

Don't know about the fall, but it sure is affecting me now!!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Related to trapping, I am cutting back now. I cancelled my plans to go to the Wyoming trapping convention this weekend. Gas prices are predicting to be over $6 by this fall. If I trap at all, the length of the coyote line will be cut in half. To help make ends meet, I will be purchasing less trapping items than I normally do. Living on a fixed income with this Bidenflation is tough.

For coyote trapping, if coyote doesn't bring 25$+ and diesel is 5.50$ a gallon, I won't do much if any trapping

No most of my hunting and trapping is walking distance or short ATV ride from the house.

Same here, dont burn much in the way of fuel tur trapping.
Atv uses very little and the skidoo just a bit more.
Maybe stay at camp a few extra nights instead of coming home. That will cover it.
As far as nuisance work, we already raised the milage rate to cover the fuel cost.
Never lost a client, they all know the price of gas has gone up

As it stands now Jerry won't be traveling to Wyoming to trap this fall.

I figure that before all he will figure out a way to justify the trip.lol

Gas for the vehicle isn't the issue. It's the overall cost of everything else that has gone up because of it.

With fuel and fur prices I'm thinking of cutting back. Might skip my yearly trapping trip as well. I'll decide in late summer .

I am not going more than ten miles from my house. Going to drive that truck this winter some.

I might cut back a little, but I'm going trapping. A fella just doesn't know how many seasons he's gonna get, so I'm not skipping one.

Fur prices affected it a lot already, fuel prices sealed the deal for me.
