you are asked to hold a ladder , you consent to it , you think ah the odds of the ladder actually falling are low.

so prepared or not you consent to hold the ladder and it is a tall one

well it happens the ladder slips and your now holding the ladder up the person at the top of the ladder has to climb down slowly without falling as you use all your strength to hold the ladder , your arms start to hurt , your back hurts a lot , this is a lot more than you had originally thought it was going to be

but a persons life hangs in your hands

do you let go of the ladder and save yourself the pain ? OR hang on till they can get down or fall without great injury?

what say you ?

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

You hold the ladder, you gave your word. It's the old saying, if you go, we go.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Not sure why thatís a question?
Save yourself from pain? Pain lets you know youíre alive. Pain? Come up with another reason to let go of the ladder, like maybe you prefer the pronouns of it or her.

alittle back pain...really?.... not a reason to simply let go when the guy on top could get hurt alot worse or break something. No one expects it but you should actually be prepared to catch the ladder, as catch22 said, you said yes. Man up.

There is no choice. You said you would knew what the dangers were and committed to do it. So you do it at all cost.

Say what you mean, mean what you say, and stick to your word. If you compromise that you have nothing g worth having.

When I say Iím gonna do something for someone then Iím gonna do it, and Iím gonna do it as well as I possibly can, no matter how big of a pain in my back it becomes. If itís too much of a pain then next time I wonít say Iíll do it, but this time Iíve already committed and I wonít go back on it.

You gotta be more specific, cause everyone including you is currently benefiting from some sort of government promised entitlement in the United States

I'm assuming this question is allegorical, and is in reference to the Ulvade cops. Or something like that.

I prefer to secure my ladder and not place my trust in someone else. You never know when an old guy might have to take a pee break.

a significant portion of the country has an issue answering this questions so maybe it isn't as dumb as you think.

you are asked to participate in a consensual activity whether you are prepared or not you agreed and participate understanding that there could be consequences to this consensual agreement , you might get left holding the "ladder" you may have even taken steps to get the risk way down.

you see when you approach this question with a persons life hanging in the balance the answer seems obvious to most.

I keep hearing my body my choice , but if that choice was holding a ladder so a person you cared about and consented to help , if their life was hanging in the balance you would risk injury and accept pain to save them , most people answered that they would.

so sure your body your choice , but please understand you consented to letting that person down easy if at all possible when you consented to the activity. maybe understanding that the person your letting down safely is 1/2 you and 1/2 the person you actually consented to the activity with and didn't exist prior to said event.

in 2007 I held my 17 week of gestation daughter in my hand , what does a 17 week old child look like , a miniature person in every way , face , eyes ,ears , fingers , toes everything is there at 17 weeks everything just in miniature.

we had gone for my wife's 20 week ultrasound and no heart beat , the next day we went to the hospital to deliver her. the delivery well it is all the same as the live kids other than a 6 inch child weighing ounces and not pounds is a lot easier to deliver than a 19-20 inch 8-10 pound child.

she had passed of natural causes it was determined at 17 weeks by the kind folks at the WI still born project they study the kids and provide a report to the family at no charge. the funeral home cremates children for free and each month the church digs a small grave to put all the cremated remains in at the base of the monument in the cemetery.

So you see to me there is absolutely no doubt that we are talking about a person and a life , so in addressing any question from that understanding , well the answer seems quite clear to so many.

yet , to de-humanize it and call it a choice , a fetus , a cell cluster , well you can see where the devils lead so many a stray. They are as much a cell cluster as any of you 100% of them is human , the lungs aren't fully developed yet but they will be shortly.

so is it a dumb question now ?

The story makes more sense in the case of cops not doing their duty than it does in abortion. I find it an odd comparison.
