A country music classic from the 1960's sung by Claude King. I always really liked that song.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

The bears and the birdies tell Clifton Clowers, who hoo, if some stranger should enter there!

'Cause Clifton Clowers has a pretty young daughter
He's mighty handy with a gun and a knife

We had a discussion the other day at work about when our daughters will introduce us to a young feller someday. Im pretty sure i scared my coworkers.

I remember the song and remember thinking "whats wrong with that guy". Sounds like some kind of Deliverance scenario going on up there and I'd want no part of it. Best leave that one alone.

Just remember.....while all that as going on......Crystal Gayle was wasting away in Butcher Holler.

One of the good oldies. They just don't make music like that anymore.

When I was young and heard the song for the first couple times,,I though he was singing "On Over To The Mountain" instead of "On Wolverton Mountain" grin
