Set 57 BG traps today on one property. Then I ran out of traps. I flagged another 15 dens till the heat got to me.
I can guarantee they are worth more then coyotes and I don't even have to skin them. LOL

DANG ! ! !, that's a lot of shoe strings and banjo heads ! Don't you fear catching them all ? The best I did In 3 days was 47 chucks. This Is a 200 acre piece of ground you will never catch them all. Lots of these holes I set might not be active but you never know. Body count tomorrow.

Used to shoot, and once in a while trap, rock chucks in central Oregon growing up. We would skin them, then put the carcasses in gallon-size pickel jars. The lids got replaced with screen, (after the first couple jars exploded), and left to rot all summer and fall. We never bothered to strain the results, but instead just poured a splash on a stump, on on an ant pile, then set footholds on approaching trails. Those sets caught coyotes, bobcats, and the odd badger.

Body count : 22 Had a couple of sprung traps. Moved some traps to new locations so we will see what the count Is tommrow.
Sorry Bob but those chucks laid around in those traps all afternoon and all night and most of them were about the size of volley balls. So I was not about to start harvesting glands.

Those are the best glands they are pre aged ready to process. Just poke them with a knife or ice pick and they will deflate. Tie them down first or they might fly across the room like a wild balloon!

Got 18 today I took some pics I'll see If I can get them posted. The pic will show 16 because a vulture got two of them and there wasn't much left.
Made about 20 new sets today so we will see what tommrow brings. The count Is 40. In 2 checks.

Yep I noticed the math was awry. It is more than the number of fingers and toes so all bets on accuracy are off.

I don't even believe It, but I got 17 chucks today 2 were eaten by vultures and I got one grinner. Will see what tommrow brings. But I pulled a bunch of traps today so the count Isn't going to be too high. Catching a lot of young of the year.
