Cedar Hacker OP trapper C Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,140 Texas Hill Country	The EPA is proposing to make the Permian Basin a "non-attainment" area. This large energy field in West Texas and a part of south eastern New Mexico is the largest producing field in the United States with 40% of the nation's oil and 20 % of the nations natural gas. They claim the air quality in the area does not meet EPA standards and if they can get it classified they will shut down some of the oil wells, natural gas wells, pipelines, compressor stations, refineries and processing plants. It appears an attempt to nationalize the fossil fuel industry. If they are successful, we will be in deep doo-doo. Texas, New Mexico and the energy companies will fight this tooth and nail. It would be helpful if you would alert your elected representatives as to what is going on and shut down the EPA on this. Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.
