I ordered this ammo not sure what the soft point bullet would be but has advertised as a 140 Nosler bullet, was very happy to see it was a 140 Partition. Advertised velocity is 2690, which with Norma and Lapua stuff is usually pretty close in my experience. The brass and bullet alone cost as much. It is $25 a box with FREE shipping over $49. The website for ordering is a but slow and clunky so be prepared and most importantly click the free shipping option upon check out, it may default to the pay shipping, it gives both options, just click free. With ammo being hard to find and expensive I just thought I would share. https://www.ammoshoponline.com/shop...nal-hunter-qty-20-free-shipping-over-49/
I have nothing clever to put here.

That's a good deal today. The Swede has been getting the job done for a long time.

Great caliber and mild recoil. I have a couple of them. I love anything with a Nosler Partition bullet too!

Spectacular bullet! Great velocity too. Something special about that caliber at that moderate speed. A great all rounder.

I had to sell mine way back when and miss it a lot. One day I will have another. Still have a bunch of those old partitions to load for it. Its still one of the finer 6.5's ot there after over 100 years.

I picked up a beautiful 1917 a few years ago. Yard sale up near Big Fork. Love shooting it. Ahlmans did s bit of work on the front site and it now drives nails. Crazy fun gun over bear baits.

I had a odd experience with one (loaner )bull came on to trail 50 yds I put 4 in the lungs you could cover with the palm of your hand.He just kept going I caught up to him in a spruce swamp in about 150 yds and finished him with one in behind the ear. They were the Norma factory loads can't remember the grain .I was packing it because it was light and no scope and my horse was loaded heavy . It (belonged to a relative )and was sporterized .All the bullets were mushroomed good and inside the hide on the off side. I was surprised but not impressed ! I would get something with more soup for elk .Hard to beat a 3006 its plenty good medicine for most any creature . smith

The few deer I have shot with ANYTHING with a Partition never went more than a few feet, most fell where they stood.

I just bought one of these actually-haven't even got it yet. Tikka M65 Continental-absolutely gorgeous wood! Ya just don't find the older Tikkas anymore-I had to buy it LOL. The more I read on the caliber the more I like it and get excited about reloading for it. Amazing that the Creedmoor has had so so much more commercial success than the swede-marketing I guess because the difference in the 2 calibers is barely worth comparing-seriously. My opinion is that the creedmoor just had good marketing put to it after a small tweak or two of the swede chambering.
