What kind of tools do you guys carry on the trapline and what do you carry them in. I will be in a truck most of the time unless attending to sets. I personally keep a hammer, sifter, anchor driver, linesman pliers, setters, and a pair of fencing pliers. For materials, I keep wire, pan covers, lure, bait, a couple of extra anchors, traps, etc. These are all stored in a bucket or small tool bag. Thanks in advance!

I keep some spare quick links in the kit. And, a piece of cable - slip loop in one end, and fixed loop in the other, for use in pulling up stakes.
What from Christ that soul can sever, Bound by everlasting bands? None shall take thee From the Strength of Israel's hands.

in NJ we snare so my bag is much different than others. I have a 5 gallon bucket with - rebar stakes
- snares packed 3 per zip lock bag
- extension cables packed 3 per zip lock bag
- quick links for attaching snares to extension cables
- a coil of support wire
- scratch awe
- cable cutters
- pliers
- some other misc. hand tools.
But that bucket stays in the truck. I put a couple of zip lock bags of snares, a couple of bags of extension cables, my cable cutters, quick links, and a short cut-off coil of support wire in my coat pockets and walk without carrying anything. I rarely ever use stakes and can almost always cable to a tree or shrub. The only exception is if I'm snaring in vehicle tracks and if I am, they're usually my tracks so I can work right off the tailgate of my truck. I'm a lazy trapper.

I often have to walk a ways to make my sets, far enough of the toad so my sets are hidden from the public, so I keep my bag as light as possible.
Sifter Fencing pliers Hammer Stake driver Small file 10-12’ of tripled and twisted mechanics wire 18” D-handle spade shovel

Buckets and rubber made tubs. I work mostly off atv with trailer or a pickup. I do use a big plastic pack basket for when I have to walk.

Scrub thoroughly with OO steel wool, rinse with bleach and then apply a generous amount of Nair and your problem will be solved.
I have nothing clever to put here.

6 gal bucket to make sets, another for just more traps and peet moss. I have a tool bag also, like bctomcat, for lures, bait and urine. I'd lose those buckets all the time. I use a Husky tool bag for tools, sifter, pan covers, etc. Stinky stuff goes in a separate little tote bag clipped to the tool bag. I pull an otter sled a lot when out, so everything goes in it.
