Starting to look like maybe they didn't sell the castor. It usually gets sold a few days after the end of a regular sale ....we're almost mid July now.

The castor market is down from last season. Maybe FHA is asking last season’s price and the buyers are saying no. Will see what happens. I heard tell of people selling castor at $90 as late as the first of April of this year. Nice little rebound at the end after we had been hearing all season long that castor was down.

I think Koisoi over in Siberia was selling his castor there for medicinal as well. I can't remember exactly how much, but at least double or triple what we've been getting.

Skunk essence is also used medicinally by indigenous folks in certain areas of Canada. Here skunk fat and bear fat is highly prized medicine.

No,the medicine people use it in different form, they prefer to get it just dry on the outside.Leathery feel but not "wet" - same as selling at auction. They will dry some hard themselves and powder it for certain uses. One use for castoreum llocally is for healing injuries that are difficult to heal otherwise, also for healing footsores or bedsores due to diabetes. It is applied as a poultice. Not sure of the exact procedure, but I should find out. Castoreum is also taken internally for various ailments.

Hey Boco....here in the states, people are paid 500.00 to take a dump in a box...and send it to a cancer research lab. I know a couple people that send 2 dump loads a week. 1,000 per week ! ...AND I AM SERIOUS....look it up. It’s a bettah price than castor

I can only find one outfit that buys poop. Only $75 per dump and you have to be younger than 50! Oh Crap!
