Yup….them bore beetle / worms that eat the root system on the Zucchini plants are awful. They weren’t too bad last year. But wiped us out the year before. Got a late start on zucchini this year..hoping by the end of August for some.

Our garden has done well this year. We have Zucchini & butternut squash galore. Tomato's are ripe and ready to gather for canning Will pick green beans this afternoon. Dug up a couple potato plants last week, the skin was still a little thin, so giving them a little more time. Planted 3 rows of sweet corn early and 8 more 3 weeks later. The 3 early rows are there so I can thin out the raccoon's so the other rows make it to roasting ears.
Don't know why but this year I have not had any issues with them getting in the corn and I have ears that are about ready to pick. The entire garden has electric fence around it but it has never completely stopped them. I have hit the raccoons hard the last couple of years, so it must be making a difference.

We like to make Zucchini apple pie as well as bread.

My wife makes zucchini relish and cans it. Good stuff!

Might be cool to start a zucchini recipe thread. I’ve never heard of a few of the above uses.
