Here's why I think the prevailing myth of middle of the middle is wrong.

I shot a nice one running away from me.
When I skinned it there was no hole in the pelt.

You shot him right in the butt hole.

I agree!! I shoot deer elk moose bears all the same half way up and right behind the shoulder. My favourite is a quartering shot where I can break a shoulder on the way in or out as usually the bear hits the dirt and rolls around before getting up so I am ready for a follow up shot when he gets backup. Although the big black one I shot this spring he hit the dirt with that shot but was up a split second later.

Myth?

Comment?

I like the one at 1:00 with a pepper/tear gas pepperball. Confession: I ain't had the opportunity to try it yet, but my inner sociopath would love to try it.

That chart is definitely not applicable to bowhunting.

I was always told that the best place to shoot a bear was as close to the truck as possible.

I shot my 2 bears in the head at 5-15 yards over bait with a 45-70. No tracking needed!

WISH I HAD MORE TIME TO TRAP!

Good video. Easy to understand.

A buddy of mine shot one off his cabin roof-fell right in front of the door.
