I recently spent $6,500 on this registered Black Angus bull.
I put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow.
I was beginning to think I had paid more for that bull than he was worth.
Anyway......I had the Vet come and take a look at him.
He said,, the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day.
The bull started to service the cows within two days……. all my cows!
He even broke through the fence and bred with all of my neighbor's cows!
He's like a machine!
I don't know what was in the pills the Vet gave him ... but they kind of taste like peppermint.

I think you need to let me keep those minty pills in my shop for safe keeping. Never can be too careful with those things.

I bet that big boy just pole vaulted across that fence like a Ninja to visit the neighbors. Spreading around the wealth and being neighborly. grin

That's what I thought! Looks a little Bramha in there!

Hope you didn't tear your pants jumping that fence!

These days if it black it's Angus. Or if it ain't black they throw an Angus on it to make it black.

And the funny thing is everyone seems to have no idea what an original Angus is. They are a smaller short legged critter that should look like a barrel with legs.

Use to see a ranch full of Brahma/ Angus cross cattle in Arkansas years back when trapping ranches in Arkansas in the early 90's. Big cattle for sure.. That was the first of that breed I had seen.

Years ago a rancher in Texas created the Brangus breed by crossing those two breeds. I don't know how prevelent they are today. Some benefits against heat and certain pests etc. were some of the things I read about while in college.

That bull is just massive looking!
Do you expect calving issues because of his size?
He learned a new great activity.
Does he respect that no means no?
Did the bull kill any of the cows?
Did he get after any heifers?
Did the bull die?
Is it possible that he was shooting blanks after 20 cows?
Did he drink about 10 gallons of water afterwards?
He may need a big steel cage like King Kong?

I am sure the big ole Bull fell over and took a few hours nap in the shade. A bit of time to recover his spent energy, then some time chewing his cud reflecting upon the days events...
