I drew a mule deer tag in Sk. It’s draw for residents . My son drew a moose tag and an elk tag for that same zone as I drew a mule tag. We can buy over the counter ones for each of those right here at home but we put in for the special draws because the zones they are in hold some giant bulls. If you draw you cannot buy over the counter tags. No real good reason to leave the province for hunting at this stage of life currently as what I can’t kill here I don’t have a big desire to kill.

No hunting trips planned, but I’m hoping to head to Maine to do some beaver trapping!

I will be helping my 78 year old father get his bear. He drew a Minnesota tag this year. After that archery season starts. Hunting right out the back door.

Thinking Colorado archery elk for 10-12 days in late September. Then hunt the first 4 days of archery deer at our cabin in the northern lower. Back to Colorado for 2nd rifle for Muley/Bear at the end of October. Back to Northern Michigan for a few days of bowhunting and trapping before hunting the first week of rifle deer season. Going to the U.P for a week for fisher/marten in December maybe get in a few deer hunts up there too if I'm not tagged out.

Probably just hit the usual spots on the Delmarva Peninsula. Might head up to Pennsylvania or Maine. Not really sure yet.

My english setter pup is coming along nicely. Minds reasonably well for a puppy. Got excited when fireworks were going off on the 4th instead of getting scared. I figure on hunting with him a bit. Right now we are still working on him staying close.

40 mile caribou herd in Aug. if they are near enough the Steele hiway. Sept. moose on the Nowitna R. in interior Alaska. Maybe a boat ride up the Melozitna too.
