Don't know the mileage for sure, I am thinking it was over a thousand to Wisconsin in 2010.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

On the other hand the shortest convention for me was a PA convention when it was in Port Royal, that was about 16 miles.

However far it is from St. Joseph, Mo to Marshfield. Three college buds crammed into a single cab manual ford ranger. Back when the coon market was good, we loaded up on duke dps and 1.5s. Flirted with Miss Wisconsin for awhile, got extremely drunk and woke up with standing water and mosquitos in our tent. Pretty good storm blew through that night. Had less than 10 dollars to my name by the time I got back to MO. Good times. I remember that convention. We too woke up with water in our tent...what little we got to sleep with a wet, disgruntled fox in a cage yapping outside our tent all night, lol.
