Charcuterie is a fancy word to sell people meat, cheese and cracker platters at inflated prices. I’ve been serving my wife fancy charcuterie platters for years and didn’t even know it!

And yes, charcuterie platters are “hip” or “in” or whatever they say now. People really are spending a bunch of money on them.

they can have more stuff but cheese , cured meats , fruit , chips , mustards , salsas and jams , crackers
wife got some follow along at home class from a fancy food place in Madison on building one last year it came with a box of stuff , for a lot less than it would cost to buy all the stuff it let us try a lot of things that had been of interest to her.
yes it is basically and art form of arranging good foods in an aesthetically pleasing way so tasty art.
I wouldn't buy one from somebody else but I enjoyed trying some things and yes I did learn how to make flowers from little thin slices of sausage , they taste the same. I am also unlikely to buy much in the way of art especially temporary art. my wife is more likely to buy art.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Grand dad put up Quince jelly and preserves. That's where dad got his saying about jelly, you can always add enough sugar to make anything good. I've made quince jelly a few times. It is beautiful stuff, kind of a vibrant pink color. A lot of work making the stuff though.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
