LOL that's ok, BB, This stuff isn't for everyone, and I have liked a variety of music. I don't like everything of Motown, either, but some things I do .
The bass in this kicks. A whole orchestra behind them too . Many of these soul bands also had kickin brass sections too. This has a bit of all.
There was a guy who had me do a full Celtic warrior mural on his show van. It was worth the price of a modern day Ram , even back then, before I put my heart into it. Warriors in armor , on war horses, swords drawn, in a dead run, wearing fur capes , the whole thing was full of motion.
He was happy as a clam at high tide with that van , and this song was his theme as he traveled down the road almost across country to car shows.
This tune is a long one, so you can either pull the feed dial or not . I like the instrumentals improvising in their turns .
I still hear this one in my head , from doing that fantastic van , to this day, especially on long drives
Great driving tune ! I heard that in my shop last month, and stopped hammering and sanding, and just walked ovah to the radio and turned it up…and started to move my feet….lmao ! Put a big grin on my face too….

Sharon…you got any pics of those Murals on the vans you did back in the 70’s. That was a big thing back then. When I worked at a Corvette shop for 10 years, there was a guy that worked there that did some van murals….way out of my league !

Nessy, I kick myself to this day that I didn't take any photos of them. Other folks did of their rigs after I did them, but back then, there was no convenience of digital cameras , needless to say phone cams.
Even the other art I did , and portraits, I took very few. Of those, I think I have the old paper photos stashed away.
If only the phones that are so easy now , had existed back then. I would have been a cam bug !
I had the mindset, that I'd always do those style murals and could catch up to the owners if I wanted to.
They were the classic murals you remember, with powerful masculine warriors , on big draft horses , strong, yet sensual women, all telling the theme story of the Celts.
I did Greek themes too, Pegasus , old skool flames , eagles with the flag, crossed swords of honor, whatever the clients wanted.

Yup…it was different times back then…. Running to Photo Mat with a roll,of film…hoping they came out…lol. All of us from back then don’t have pictures of everything we did ,like they do now. But pictures still rock ! Iam sure those vans were things of beauty !

That is one cool art job on that album. The Eagles. I’d pahk the cah and admire that for minutes !
I rode the wave in mural art in the 70’s and 80’s, have always wondered if the wave would return someday. It hasn’t entirely, though very astounding murals are still to be seen on semi trucks . If it does, I am ready !
Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands .When I was still living at home I would play one of their albums every morning as I was getting ready for work .Years later one of my younger sisters told me she called Pink Floyd breakfast music .I ask why and she replied every morning you had them on while we where all getting up and having breakfast
