The picture with bus load of kids has a tree on the right. That is the tree now in the other picture.
I figure the date at maybe 1923, my dad on the back of the (Jenny, Hinny) was born in 1915 so if he was about 8 that would be about 1923.

Maybe some horsemen (gals) can tell me if the ride is a Jenny, Hinny, or what?

That's way cool!!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

cool picture with the house and kids on the mule

when you need to cut that tree down , don't use your newest chain , I bet like most farm yard trees there is a bunch of wire and nails in that tree

been cutting down a bunch at the farm and was very pleased to not find a nail with the chain in any of them. there might be nails in them I just didn't find them. been there done that at another farm just toss the chain it took 7 cutters right off.

the farm I have been cutting on started about 1836 the house is a little newer in the 1850s or early 1860s and the rings of these 38-42 inch across maples put it about the same time , that seems to be about the life span at least for these as they all had root rot hollowing out the trunks.

thump it a few times if it is hollow you can hear it , then get it down before you don't have enough holding wood to drop it safe

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Here is another before and after. If you look over the rear wheel of the buggy you will see the old barn (approx 1923) that is in the next picture (1965)

The old Jenny had a load with those two girls. My grandma on left and her sister on the right. My grandpa on porch.
