Hello Trapperman,

I just got into trapping last year and I'm looking to dive a little deeper this season. I thought I saw a table that showed how many animals of each species were taken from each county somewhere. Is anyone else seen or heard about this? I will be trapping in the Brainerd Lakes area so if any of you are from around that area send me a PM and maybe we could meet up and talk trapping! I will take all and any knowledge anyone is willing to share! Happy trapping!

160user would be a good guy to ride along with. Just don't let him eat any hormel chili.

I've never heard of such a chart but would also be interested in seeing what it has to say. Oh, and welcome to T-man!

I started in 2019 so have limited knowledge but if you have any questions, you can ask me and if I can't answer them then I can ask one of the trappers that I know.

Welcome aboard! I am about an hour and a half from you to the north and west. I have been through that area many time and always thought it would be a good trapping area. You found the right site there is a wealth of knowledge here so make good use of it and ask a lot of questions.

I'm guessing that chart is made from the catch report cards the dnr sends out. Not sure how accurate it is, just saying. I've been putting zeroes on mine for awhile now.

I was thinking this was from the fur registration that is required at the end of Bobcat, Fisher, Marten, and Otter season?

The fur harvest reports appear to just be for bobcat, marten, otter and fisher. Is there a report/info somewhere with the info from the end of year survey the DNR sends out for all animals taken?

Take note of this moderators, maybe a profile name change is in order
from Trapper
to; Empty trap checker

Best of luck but 160user would be really good to partner up with, just beware that those short legs of his get buried in deep snow really fast
