Can anyone share there experiences with the Death Ray catch pole? How durable are they and do they dispatch fur quickly and humanely? Don't want to spend $100 plus to find it doesn't work as touted. Thanks for your input
Have one that Lee made and sold me, going on 5-6 year's I bet. Lee recabled it last year, and got some new back up cable's this year. Really like mine.

Have not seen KO version of one yet.
It’s the same Death Ray but Kendall bought Lee out

My dr is a constant on the coon line. No more blood when skinning. Revolutionary. It works well. The couple parts that wear are the cable and the lock. Both easy to replace.
Have wanted one for some time after seeing one in action ... Clean dispatch. Just bought one for myself from No BS Lures at the WTA Convention. Picked up a few extra cables also. Nice as the DR, Lee was making in the past.

Do they look the same as the original version? Could you snap a picture quick and post it? Thanks

They are exactly the same. Lee showed him how to make them and gave/sold him the rights to produce them. There were a lot of them leaving the convention in Iowa last weekend.

QUOTE...I'd just like to have a lead on the small metal sleeves.......I believe you will find them lying around a CNC machine programmed to make them....an expensive item if I heard Lee right

I have heard Lee mention the numbers but do not remember them other than they were not cheap. Precision stainless steel tubing is far from cheap and I know he was having difficulty locating supply of either the small or the large tubing at any price in the last year or so. And when he finally found some, it was 3 or 4 times what he had been paying.

Carlis made a great amendment to them with a camlock attachment that could be taken off and left on the coyote, so they don't get up and run away when taken off the pole to soon.
How does it work and how it is different from a normal catch pole?
You can use it as either a catch pole, or a dispatch pole if you crank it down. Can crank it down and remake your set without having to keep both hands on the pole like a regular catch pole. Puts critters down quick.
