man could you send a few Million of those around to the other side of the bridge
our Lake Michigan perch limit is 5
when I was a kid we would fish Green bay up near Sturgeon Bay and get a perch within seconds of dropping a line have spend all afternoon cleaning perch and have a perch fry with aunts and uncles and grandparents and cousins.
then the perch , well not sure what caused the decline in numbers of fish but our limit went from 50 to 25 to 5 and been holding at 5 for a while probably 20 years now

On Lake Erie, might the spring and fall flocks of hundreds of thousands of cormorants be related to reduced perch numbers? How about the gobies that eat fish eggs? Or any other invasive species?

A canner that used to sell salmon wholesale told me about 8 years ago that he no longer processes them. Not enough to process , so just sells to the camp grounds , who sell to campers that don't catch any. He would get the fish at the weir at the mouth of the Manistee River. My guess is it effects the perch population also.
