Anyone enjoy the older westerns?
This is from 1943. Was made into a movie with Alan Ladd and Robert Preston

When cleaning out my grandparents house I found a chest full of Louie la more books. Once started couldn't put it down.

I love the Lous La'mour books and the Preacher series by William W. Johnstone is my favorite so far but I'm still having trouble finding some of the books, especially the older ones.

I have two copies of “whispering smith”. First person to post in this thread that they want it, I’ll send it to them.

I have every book Louis La'mour wrote. Some of the short stories aren't Western but are fascinating, especially the South Sea ones about him being a sailor. He was a man's man.

When Lamour passed away, my dad and I were ticked. He was supposed to write more Sackett novels

I read lots of old westerns. I go to many flea markets, auctions and yard sales, you just can not find old western paperbacks other than an occasional Louis L'Amour. A couple of years ago I did find a newspaper add and bought 250 old westerns. Still working on them.

Even one Sackett is quite a few. Love that line.
