Buddy and I each got drawn for middle coastal alligator tags so we legally was allowed two alligators. Well we headed to SC on 09-09-22 for the season opener on 09-10-22 after hunting 3 days without success I reached out on sc alligator hunting on FB and Phil from Rizzs outdoors reached out to me offered guidance and offered to take us to and area he believed that we would have success at and wasn't looking to make money off us he was trying to help us PA boys harvest our 1st alligators. The 1st night at Russ's spot my buddy harvested a 5 footer alligator and then 3rd night at the spot I harvested a 7.5 footer alligator. Anyone wanting to go on an alligator hunt, bow fish trip or catfishing trip as they gave big catfish down there I highly recommend Rizz Outdoors check him out on Facebook as he is a 1st class guy.

I never thought they looked all that appetizing but I finally tried fried gator the last time I worked in lower Louisiana and it was pretty good!

Interesting stuff. Congrats on tagging out! How hard is it to draw a S.C. tag? (How long have you applied?).

10 dollars to apply for a tag took us 5 years to draw a tag in the lottery

Neat! Did you shoot it with an arrow?

Cool story. I've eaten it a handful of times and enjoyed.

I bet that was a hoot, Greenhead. I would think that fresh gator is some good eating.
