Dyeing if needed but since I'm mostly water trapping this year and for the years to come I won't have to dye for a year or two now. Getting bait for muskrats figured out since it's a staple of SD muskrat trapping, making sure all traps and in working condition, swivels and chains are good. Lath for marking spots, going over how I'm going to run my line multiple times a day in my head, and how my truck is going to be set up. Making sure my floats are all ready and the foam is all good. Watching youtube videos, reading books, and watching on here are also big parts, so I can learn more since you're never done learning.

I've been modding my Bridger #2s, so far I've added a swivel, put PIT pans on them, welded the swivels shut, and laminated them. I'm ready to dye and wax all my traps now.

I did all my dye and wax and mods, now I need to scrape off the dogs and pan notches and make sure all my other gear is ready to go and I'm done
