I used It on those fat pockets you leave behind on beaver pelts. Works great.

I built one that has a 3 inch wire wheel on one side and a 6 inch on the other. Works good to clean up around heads and tails during the pickling stage of tanning.

It's does a good job on the area you can't get when fleshing.

I use a flapper disc on my angle grinder to thin pelts for tanning purposes. Works wonderfully, and leaves them nice and white, with a soft texture.

I use a wire wheel on a drill to help shave down beaver pelts. On thinner pelts it can go through so you have to be careful, but it is a gradual shaving/sanding action. When you hit a piece of fat while your picking it helps grab the fat and rip it clean off so it’s nice in that aspect. Just be aware if there’s any moisture in the pelt that wheel is going to send skin/moisture everywhere so be mindful of direction of the drill

I like to us a 3" on a die grinder for bagder pelts. Just seems like I don't have to worry about getting any grease or oil on it from my normal/shop drill. Plus I have an air nozzle right there to help blow off any fibers that I remove.

Ya can't miss fur if yur traps are out somewhere.
Or so I've been told.
