Good idea to be included in a check up or would data be used for alternative purposes such as being 'red flagged' for anxiety?

I have been grinding aged predator glands for 3 days, I think I would qualify to some as having some sort of mental illness. Do you think I should be tested?

"A leading panel of doctors [sponsored by Big Pharma, the Deep State, the Gun Control lobby, and every Left-Wing Orwellian group on the planet] recommends that all American adults under the age of 65 are regularly screened for anxiety."

I knew a guy that when he got in a depressing situation, like a long trip with 5 people in a VW Bug. He would continually quote " We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Maybe the colleges are putting out more in the shrink profession than they have a market for? Thus make a product then find a market.

Maybe the colleges are messing up more people in the head every day?

Maybe marketing from Big Pharma, the health-care industry, and self-interested professionals ("experts") creates an artificial demand and, thus, a profitable market.

LOL @ Bob!

I think that anyone who's going to set a trap this year needs to be evaluated (myself included).

They are turning out both sides of the equation of supply and demand. They supply the BS and then demand consumption by their subjects. No pun intended.

what is the point they are about 5 million mental health professionals short of being able to do anything with the info

other than make it so you can't buy insurance

we hear all the time , tell some body , get help , the sad reality is even if you try and get help the soonest appointment is months out for many

if they think your really bad a danger to your self and others they might put you on a 72 hour hold at the jail

Sad to say but like everything else we probably need to figure this out on our own and do the best we can

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I think they also need to stop prescribing antidepressants to people who had a couple bad days in a row. Big pharma is constantly lobbying for broader diagnosis’s so more drugs can be prescribed. Not just in mental health either.

I'm thinking building roads to better gun control.

I know a person that just started with trying to save their marriage and went to a marriage counselor and things progressed til they lost their guns for 5 years( Illinois by the way}. So the message they got from that was don't seek help with a particular problem. Problems are always caused by some sinister things a lot deeper. Just bet it was your mother?

Actually, that's probably the best takeaway from all the "panic porn" shoved down our throats 24/7. We SHOULD figure this and everything else out on our own, nothing sad about that. We've created a dependency culture that strips us from our own ability to take care of ourselves, especially in economic terms.

The biggest threat to our liberties is not from some governmental edict. It's from a dependency mindset that says: "I can't figure this out on my own. I need someone else to fix it for me." It's this cancerous mentality that provides the clear path for those government edicts to be passively accepted or unnoticed.

The simple fact of the matter is Many people today are overwhelmed by the problems of society Financial problems marriage problems problems with their kids Work related issues . The list is never ending .And then the self proclaimed experts that are constantly telling people how to run their life .It is no surprise that people are depressed and suffer from anxiety In fact it is a wonder that it is not worse then what it is . Jkeith you are right when you say many have never learned to think on their own THEY JUST THINK SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. Add to that the ever growing use of medications as a cure for all that is wrong .And in all reality in todays world if you do something that others may see as improper you could be considered as out of touch with reality .Or your actions might be deemed as a danger to yourself or others .And once you start down that path you can be as Trapset said diagnosed with a mental illness

It is real. First symptom is sleeplessness. The mind will not relax at bedtime.

Old age and having to pee every 2 hrs don't help either.

What is anxiety? What is depression? Everyone has it, at what level does it matter? And who should determine that level? I have such little faith in most mankind that I doubt there is any real treatment for either and any that derives a profit should be avoided.

Every one should have a certain amount of anxiety sometimes. It's part of our human nature. Learn to deal with it. You don't need a diagnosis and pill for everything in life from your government
