Just wait for all the responses about how its not impressive because of how many shots it took. The guy who did it was actually on accurate shooter talking about it earlier to his week. Definitely ALOT of challenges in it.
The main problem was trying to see "splash" so they could actually walk their shots in.
Remember listing to a SF guy talk about an experimental long range deal Barrett was working on a while ago. Basically said when you working at distances past 2000yd the one shot one kill thing goes completely out the window usually and alot of the guns that can be used to this are basically man portable artillery pieces at that point.

Absolutely.. I think it may be easier with a 155mm but we don't live in that free of country. We should be able to have modern cannons the same as modern firearms yet can't.

Once they got a hit I can't believe they didn't try for a few more they were allready set up.

I read about it yesterday. If I remember it was over 1000 moa elevation. They had spotters in bunkers near the target.

Tacoma Charlie is the ticket! My gun smith has 1 on his S&B scope on a 375 Cheytac. Wait time on Charlie Tac is about 7 to 10 weeks last time I checked BUT well worth the price

Some of the best shooting I have seen was guy from Australia with 338 Lapua. Went out to 4000 yards on a 24x24 inch plate. 3 hits in a row. He was using Charlie Trac as well

Just about have to have them after 3000 yards. We have a place that we can go out to 4100 yards On big rocks. After 2000 yards with a 300 gr bullet in 338 Lapua Imp. You can see only 3 out 5 bullet impacts. At 3000 yards using 375 Cheytac with lathe turned 370 grain bullet. You see impact on 2 out of 5 bullets. At 3500 yards with 416 Barrett. And a custom 414 gr lathe turn bullet we see about 3 of 5 bullets impact on rocks. Rock wall is about the size of drive in move screen. ONLY shot when there has been no rain for 5 or more days. Rocks need to be dry to see dust fly off them

Just in case one was curious. 3618 yards = With 416 Barrett. 414 lathe turn bullet. BC over 1.1 MV of about 3015 fps with low ES in teens Using around 191 MOA. Flight Time is 7.8 seconds Ranged with Vector 4 and. Verified with older Rockwell Viper rangefinder

Because most people have no idea what it takes to make a ELR shot like that. Most ballistic programs only go out to 4000 yards. That the problem. You have to build your own Just like spin drift and corollis effects on a bullet. Most people dont have a clue
