Had our first frost about a week ago and weather guessers say another hard one later this week. Seen our first muskrat huts yesterday so fall is close!

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Beavers putting in overtime on their feed beds lately.
Took a ride into the cabin today on the close line, seen a big feedbed sticking out into the river about 100 yards upstream from the cabin.
Walked down the bank and located the house and a bunch of well worn skid trails among a myriad of big downed poplars.
Trapping season opens on the 5th,but I will wait a while before taking out those particular beaver-unless they threaten to drop a big poplar on the cabin.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
