Just saw an interview with the cheaters that was done before the tournament. Wow what arrogance. Glad the jerks got caught. 1st place was $30,000.00 according to the news.

I will paraphrase from memory what the one cheater said.

"We have won the last 3 tournaments and we expect to do well in this one. Winners win!! That is what we do!!"

MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID, "CHEATERS CHEAT. THAT IS WHAT WE DO!!

And whitetail farms and I'll toss in high fence whitetail hunting too.

Lots of posts above of all the evils of mixing money and fishing and the ugly side of competition.
None of this stuff helps the resource or the guy who gets out once and awhile to catch a couple of fish.

Big tournaments bring in lots of money to the community it's being held in. There is nothing wrong with high fence hunting either. It's not like 20 acres with no trees to hide behind. The idea of it sounds bad, but only to people ignorant to it.

I don’t know about other tournaments, but the ones they hold in Ohio have the fish processed for free by local shops that filet fisherman’s catches, and then the filets are donated to local hunger shelters.

If somebody likes fishing tournaments or high fence animal killing its no skin off my nose. I see no reason for it to be illegal. Would entertain me though if a couple mad honest contestants put 30-40 pounds of tannerite in the cheaters boat then shot it while they were trailering down the highway. Now there would be a video. I got a grin just thinking about it

Obviously can’t and more than likely cheated. They did win last years walleye fall brawl, a brand new boat but failed the poly so didn’t get it. [/quote]

What does that mean? They had to,take a polygraph test?

Yes they do and about 90% in the LEWT donate their filets, not surprising these two jokers never donated theirs

Yes they had to take a polygraph test. That is becoming common in big tourneys. The rub is they used the same fish in another league and passed that polygraph test. The same fish!

The test with a fail, one of the dudes passed the other didn't
