I've used Cuddyback for years and just tried a Browning and very satisfied the way it works.

Cheap trail cams are well, cheap trail cams. They take pics, but you will be missing a ton of stuff that comes by. I use Browning cams for all of my trail cam work. I need them to take excellent quality video with sound as I use the footage for making videos to go on YouTube.

For the price it is hard to beat the mid tier Brownings. Reconyx cams are probably the toughest cams around and they do not miss shots, but I can buy 3-4 Brownings for the cost of one Reconyx. If you just want to see whats out and about a cheap cam may work for you. If you want to capture 90%+ of what comes by and you need quality video with sound a higher dollar camera is needed.

Brownings are great cameras, but a little on the expensive side to just watch a backyard. All my Brownings seem to last about 5-6yrs or so. They take great videos and pics and if you get into trail cams that’s what I’d go back with if I ever get tired of the Spartans.
