Were the old Class rings made out of Silver ?

Don't know. Never got that far because I got kicked out of Catholic school after 7th Grade.

In 1988, we had a choice of 5 different metals for our class rings which were stainless, iridium, silver, gold and platinum.

I went from 1st grade to 5th grade. Knuckles got too sore from those nun's rulers to continue.

I went to a Catholic School for 11 years. My class ring was 10k gold.

Only got the nuns paddle a few times, walked away and laughed.

Catholic school is mild compared to Dads rules,,they love my sons discipline...he is doing well there and getting a better education than public school but then he has always excelled.

Same deal,3-5. Gym teacher was a big fellow who had an even bigger paddle for serious infractions. I knew that paddle well, you could almost say we were friends. Almost.

K-12. Saw and received plenty of Rulers across the backs of your knuckles.NOT palms of the hand.That would have been like getting tickled.Had to say "Thank You Sister" after each whack too. Didn't bother me,,I just laughed as to not give them any satisfaction.

From 1st to 8th grade. Knowing what I know now, I would have went to public school. Too much abuse (not discipline), too much religion and the nuns and priests taught all other religions were bad including Protestants and received an inferior education (learned this once I entered public school in the 9th grade.

My first grade report card. Sister Theresa was blind, but had a helper.

Public teachers sexually abuse kids at double the rate but you don't hear that statistic blasted out all over the place for some reason.

My class consisted of 3 boys and 5 girls, 3 room school K1&2 345 678 then off to public 9th then to Burlington hi.

Went to Catholic school just for kindergarten. it was the happiest 6 years of my life.

The rings are made of what ever the owner, or the parents, decided to order.

Them penguins was too tough for me. I compare that ruler across the knuckles to finding your knocked down 220 under water the hard way. May of peed just a little but I’m blaming it on slipping and trying to do the back stroke.
