Housing construction still going like crazy around the periphery of Soo Foo, SD. Lots of nicer single-family units but also huge numbers of big apartment complexes. Some of these actually become "skyline" features that can be seen several miles away while driving (its doesn't take much height to do that in a mostly flat landscape-- 4 stories will be a "skyline" feature). My wife and I look at each other in amazement and wonder "who is going to fill all of those apartment units??!!". I think Sniffy's minions know. Keep filling Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties with 'outsiders"--- either from around the country or new "arrivals" and that growing voter block will turn South Dakota from a red state to a purple or maybe even blue state after enough time. The rural non-reservation vote and Rapid City/Black Hills area will be diluted out by a changed metro Sioux Falls.
